Monday - April 29

Today we made a college profile. We had to choose a college / university and figure out the tuition, where it was, number of undergraduate etc. I choose a career similar to what I want to do as my future career, so it very educational. This assignment gave me ideas for what schools I should think about applying to, one more year for me to decide. I'm kind of tired because of the weekend I had, but I feel fine.

Friday - April 12

Today we read the poem The Red Wheelbarrow and analyzed it. We also asked unanswered questions and wrote them down. I’m feeling okay because it’s Friday but a little nervous because of the test next week.

Thursday - April 11

We did a story on common lit, answered questions that went along with the story, after that I did an assessment on it. Apparently, this is supposed to be a practice to the EOC.

Tuesday - April 9

During our spring break I didn't go anywhere outside of Atlanta. My family had to work, and I can't drive yet so our options were limited. Most of the week I alternated between staying home taking care of my sisters and working with my dad, which was tiring. When I was at home, me and my siblings would clean most of the day then play or bake. Majority of the week we would be outside playing baseball, volleyball, soccer, and with the dogs. In the weekend we threw my aunt a surprise party and there was a lot of food, but it was freezing so we spent most of the time inside. I saw the eclipse, but it wasn't as good as the one we had a few years ago.

March 18 - Monday

Today we created our own claims based on the 10 prompts given to us, we had to do a supporting and opposing claim for each prompt. I learned how to improve my claims and have the point of view of both sides of the argument, no matter if we really agreed or disagreed. I know this will help with the end of course exam along with annotating. I liked that we went over a few of them because sometimes they are difficult to make out. I feel pretty good because we didn't do much in math.
