Today we continued working on our benchmark test, the essay portion. Even though it took a while it's okay because we don't have to come to school tomorrow.
Today we read a poem about a firetruck and answered questions about it. It was a nice break from all the computer work (there was no internet to continue the work from yesterday). I didn't struggle with analyzing the poem or questions, so it was a good assignment, plus we got to draw. I feel good, but I am hungry because I missed breakfast.
Today we watched short films and wrote down a one sentence summary and had to find two themes. We needed to do it in illuminate, so I thought we were going to take a test. The test and quizzes on there get boring really fast, I was relieved we didn't have to take it.
Today the class presented their group posters on characters from the Great Gatsby and our group did Tom Buchanan. I got a deeper understanding of each character, which will help me make out with the rest of the book. I liked that we didn't have to do our "research" with so many chapters. While I was presenting, I realized how important it was to remember the most important parts to speak about or it will be a big jumble.
