 We continued working on our poems today and my group is about finished, we're just adding a few things, so our individual work makes sense. We actually present either Thursday or Friday and have to explain our summary to the class. Evaluating poems has become much simpler with all the practice we've had, but some are a little difficult to explain.

 Today was my first day back after being gone three weeks. We started by getting into groups of fours, then each group got a poem that they had to analyze. We got "Nothing Gold can Stay" and each person in the group had their own set of instructions on what to write about the poem. I got connecter, which is finding a connection between the poem and me or the world in general. I have to write at least two paragraphs (14 sentences) I only wrote down a little today because I analyzed the poem first and I'll finish the rest tomorrow.
